The
Freedom Growers
The Freedom Growers Garden was originally developed by
the Butler County
Master Gardeners and the Fairfield Latchkey program. The project which
was supported by last year's Growing Good
Kids Grant program of the National Junior Master
Gardener program office is located at an Adult Care
Facility in
Butler County,
Ohio.
Residents from the facility and Master Gardeners worked
side by side with children to help create this garden
and teach them about soils, planting, plant maintenance,
flower garden layouts, annuals, and perennials.
The National
Junior Master Gardener Group of the Month is selected
for outstanding efforts in their school & community.Nominate your

"Students
learn about Plant
Growth & Development, become
Wildlife Gardeners,
or connect great books to the
garden in a study of
Literature in the Garden -
and now there's research that shows that this program
increases science achievment. I love this program!"
